Professor Dr. Md. Monowar-ul-Haq (Shamim) has a long experience in urology. He obtained his MBBS and MS degrees in urology from Chittagong Medical College Hospital. He is currently serving as a professor and head of the department. He personally solves the urinary problems of more than a hundred patients every day. The activities of the Chittagong Urology Department are carried out under his supervision. He conducts training programs for doctors interested in urology. He solves the urinary problems of men and women in a small unit in the Urology Department. In addition, he performs various kidney stone operations very efficiently. He is especially skilled in non-invasive kidney stone operations. His kidney stone operations are recognized nationwide. He regularly participates in various international conferences. He has published more than 30 papers in various journals. He teaches students of the Urology Department. He is working for advanced treatment of urology by maintaining good relations with various professional and social service organizations including Chittagong Medical College, Chittagong Medical College Hospital, Memorial Hospital Service, Bangladesh, SMSS, Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons.
