Professor Salma Yasmin Chowdhury was born in January 1963 in Rajshahi district. She completed her MBBS degree from Rajshahi Medical College in 1986. After that, she obtained higher M.S and F,CPS degrees in medical science and later F.R.C.S degree from England. She was working as a professor in the Department of Surgery of Sir Salimullah Medical College. At present, she sees all patients related to general surgery in her assigned chamber and performs all types of general surgery operations.
