Tangail Medical College Hospital, located in the Kodalia area of Tangail Sadar, is one of the newer government medical college hospitals of Bangladesh. It was established in 2014 as Sheikh Hasina Medical College, Tangail, becoming the 24th public medical college in the country, and is academically affiliated with the University of Dhaka. On 30 October 2024, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare officially renamed the institution to Tangail Medical College.

The medical college and hospital were built around the site of the old Tangail General Hospital, which itself began as a 50-bed general hospital in 1974 and was gradually upgraded to a 250-bed general hospital before being converted into a full medical college hospital. Today it functions as a combined teaching and tertiary-care hospital, offering OPD consultation, indoor admission, emergency care, and clinical training for MBBS students under the supervision of experienced faculty members and consultants.
